Within Spanish history, we can highlight the "Golden Age." It is a period of both literary and political splendor in Spain. It spans from the year 1492, the date of Columbus’s first voyage to America and the publication of the first Castilian Grammar by Antonio de Nebrija. It ends in 1681, the year of the death of writer Calderón de la Barca, according to the Lope de Vega House Museum, another of the great authors of this era.
